Treat someone to a fantastic sailing experience for two on a vintage Thames barge. The clock will be turned back in time as they step aboard one of these historic barges which have been trawling the Thames for years. Perfect for exploring some wonderful sights from the riverside.
A river cruise is the perfect venue for taking in amazing sights at the same time as enjoying a delicious meal. The relaxing day aboard the historic vessel allows the gift recipients to become involved in hosting sails and even steering should they so wish. Time spent in front of the controls is dependent on the weather, location, number of passengers aboard and of course the skipper. This experience is an ideal gift for water lovers who also enjoy sightseeing.
The whole trip lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Bookings can be made on selected Friday's, normally during the months of March to October or November.
The vessels are exposed on the open river, therefore it is important to dress accordingly and prepare for cooler weather.
Unfortunately family and friends are unable to attend, unless of course they purchase their own ticket.
Agility is required in order to board and disembark the vessel. Please inform of any food allergies at the time of booking.
The minimum age for this activity is 12 years of age. Please note that under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
No previous qualifications or sailing experience are required to take part in this activity.
This is a group activity, and as such, there may be a maximum of up to 49 other people in attendance on the day.
