Take a step back in time with this amazing vintage flying experience, a forty minute flying lesson in a 1930's aeroplane is the sort of activity gift people simply don’t forget. This flight isn't about speed or power it's about cruising along at a relaxing pace with great views of the countryside and the feel of the wind rushing past.
The open cockpit means that you get a real feel of flying, of course it does get quite cold so we kit passengers out with a jacket and goggles to make this outstanding flying lesson that little bit more pleasant. Anybody with a passion for historic aircraft will simply fall in love with this amazing plane which was used by the RAF through from the early 1930's until as recently as 1959.
After a short safety briefing and guide to the controls, the participant and instructor hop in for this amazing Tiger Moth flight. The pilot will take off but once in that air the lucky gift recipient will be able to take the controls for an experience of a lifetime.
The activity gift experience lasts around 1 hour in total with the flight lasting around 40 minutes.
These flying lessons are available on selected dates from Wednesday to Sunday all year round but mainly during May to September.
This event may be cancelled in adverse weather conditions.
Friends and family can come along to watch.
Participants must be no heavier than 18 stone and no taller than 6 foot 4 inches. This activity is not suitable for people with heart conditions or who may be pregnant, also a certain degree of flexibility is required to enter and exit the aircraft.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
No qualifications or experience are needed for this Tiger Moth flight.
This is a private gift experience with only the pilot and the passenger in the aircraft.
