30 Minute Flying Lesson in a Vintage Tiger Moth

For anybody with a love of vintage aircraft then this flying lesson is an experience they simply wont forget. Take to the skies in a brilliant Tiger Moth biplane, originally from the 1930's, for an activity gift experience of a lifetime. Participants are kitted out with all of the gear including a flying jacket and goggles, after all it gets very cold indeed in those open cockpits.
Forget jet engines this is what flying should really be like, cruising along at a little over 80 miles per hour with the wind rushing past and outstanding views of the British countryside below.
This flying lesson begins with a short briefing on safety and on how to control the plane, before long the participants board the aircraft. The passenger sits behind the pilot and the instructor will taxi onto the runway and take off. During the flight the passenger will get to take the controls of the aircraft for an experience of a lifetime. Also, if you take this activity at the Duxford venue the participant also gets free entry into the museum (usually £16) and guests get half price entry too.
The activity lasts around 1 hour in total with about 30 minutes of flight time.
This flying lesson is available on selected days between Wednesday and Sunday, mainly May to September but also on occasional dates throughout the year.
This activity gift is subject to appropriate weather conditions.
Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch.
Participants must be no heavier than 18 stone and no taller than 6 foot 4 inches. This experience is not suitable for people who may be pregnant or suffer from heart problems. A certain degree of flexibility is required to enter and exit the Tiger Moth.
All participants must be ages 18 years or over.
No qualifications or experience are required.
This is a private session, only the instructor and participant will be present.
