This experience gift is a sort of dodgems for adults, a real live stock car racing track day in saloon cars, the participants take on other drivers to see who is the fastest and the winner gets a great trophy to take home. A fantastic idea for any Father's day present. This is a great experience with live commentators throughout the event so that spectators can keep track of who is winning. It's not often there is the chance for absolute beginners to get involved in real racing but here it is, what a brilliant gift idea.
The day’s events begin with some light refreshments upon arrival where the stewards will go over the rules and safety regulations. The cars themselves are generally 1.3 litre saloon cars and the event is broken down into different sections; at first there is a four lap practice session so that everybody can get used to the circuit, following this there are two heats and a grand final. The points picked up during the heats will decide which group drivers are placed in for the final so that people are racing against drivers of similar abilities. The final act of the day is the presentation ceremony where the winners receive their excellent trophies.
The event will last a total of around 4 hours.
The experience runs throughout the year, there is usually one meeting per month on selected dates.
This experience gift will only run if the weather conditions are appropriate.
Spectators are welcome although there is a £5 admission charge.
The weight limit for drivers is 20 stone, all participants must be between 4 foot 10 inches and 6 foot 6 inches tall. Drivers need to be reasonably fit.
All participants must be 17 years of age or older.
Participants must have a valid UK or European driving licence or a provisional licence will also be accepted.
There may be up to 32 drivers at the venue on the day.
