Single seater race car driving days are an absolutely thrilling experience gift for any motorsports fans or anybody who would like to put the pedal to the metal in a real racing car. These vehicles are purpose built for speed, aerodynamically brilliant, light, powerful and designed specifically for racing, people can't fail to have a great time in one of these. While not quite up to the performance standards of Formula one these cars are very similar to the Formula Ford or Renault classes and are enough to give anybody the driving experience of their life
Upon arrival at the centre the group will be welcomed by the team of expert instructors before a short briefing on procedures and safety precautions. The driving track day will begin with a few laps in a top spec saloon car, where participants can get used to the circuit and instructors can demonstrate a few techniques and the best racing line. Once familiarised with the road layout the participants can climb in to the single seater vehicles and get to grips with the immense power and amazing cornering abilities of these brilliantly engineered machines.
Depending upon the venue and the weather conditions the session can last between 1-4 hours.
Sessions run March to October on selected dates.
This event is dependent upon suitable weather conditions.
Some restrictions may apply but in general you are welcome to bring along family and friends.
All drivers must be taller than 5 foot 2 inches but no taller than 6 foot 2 and the maximum weight is 17 stone. The driving experience gift may not be suitable for people with epilepsy, are pregnant or suffer from any mental or physical disability.
All participants must be between 18 and 70 years of age.
All drivers need a full and valid UK or European driving licence which must have been held for at least one year. People who have points on their licence will need to check with the venue before the day. Some venues will ask participants to sign an indemnity form on the day.
There will be other people present at the centre on the day but the actual driving tuition will be on a one to one basis.
