Wheel spinning off the line, tearing around hairpins and powering down gravel tracks at speeds you normally can only dream of, that’s what this half day rally driving experience gift is all about. The recipient of this great gift idea will get behind the wheel of a finely tuned sporty car and with the assistance of an expert instructor they will be driving like a pro before long. Get strapped in and hold on tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
This rallying session will begin with a short briefing from the instructor to cover basic safety procedures but before you know it the participants will be behind the wheel. Firstly there will be a few practice sessions to learn some great techniques such as handbrake turns and power slides. Most of the courses which are used for this activity are loose surfaced, so gravel or mud which makes them pretty slippery and much more fun. We use a selection of different motor sport schools which have all of the latest equipment including helmets with microphones so drivers can communicate with their instructor while driving.
Depending upon the weather and the location this activity will last somewhere between 2 1/2 and 4 hours approximately.
Most venues operate this activity during the summer months, between March and November, days of the week vary between locations.
The rally driving experience is dependent upon weather conditions on the day, the session will go ahead in most circumstances however.
Two spectators can come along if they wish but they must be over 11 years old and bear in mind that due to the nature of the sport facilities are usually fairly basic.
Participants must not be over 16 stone in weight or under 5 foot 2 inches tall, the maximum height is 6 foot 3 inches. This activity is not suitable for people with heart conditions and you may be asked to sign a disclaimer on the day.
In order to partake in this experience you must be between 18 and 70 years of age.
Participants must hold a valid UK or European manual driving license and must have held this for at least one year. Your licence must be with you on the day, photocopies will not be accepted.
While participants will share the car with others on the day the actual driving will be on a one to one basis.
