Activity Description - Half Day Subaru Impreza Rally Driving Experience

Tyres spin, gravel flies and your Subaru explodes into action, disappearing in a cloud of dust.

An awesome off road experience! Make no mistake this is THE ultimate rally driving experience driving the ultimate rally car!

At 280 hp these high performance competition prepared cars deliver explosive power. The aim of this 1/2 day lesson is to teach you how to drive and control a high performance rally car on a variety of courses and surfaces.
Our qualified instructors will be with you every step of the way teaching you power slides, hand brake turns, effective braking, accelerating and mastering skid controls on a prepared gravel rally stage.

The day will start with a full safety briefing from your instructor followed by a chance to familiarise yourself with both the car and rally stage. Next you take to the course as a passenger whilst your instructor treats you to a high speed passenger ride, showing where to brake, turn and more importantly - accelerate! From then on the lesson will comprise a series of tracks sessions with you firmly in the driving seat and your instructor alongside as a passenger, providing help and tips throughout.

The day includes lunch and will finish with a certificate and assessment presentation.

12:00 - arrival and briefing, Meet your instructor, explanation of the car & driving techniques, safety equipment provided.

familiarisation / demonstration Laps. Each driver will have two demonstration / familiarisation laps with the instructor over the loose surface rally special stage.

13:30 - driving session. Accompanied by your instructor, its your turn to get behind the wheel, learn how to hand brake turn and control power slides as you scrabble for grip on the rally special stage. Develop your driving skills and increase your speed as you explore you own limits.

16:30 - presentation. Presentation of your driver assessment.

Important
All drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least 1 year and produce it on the day. Drivers should be able to drive a manual car.

Numbers on the day
There will be a maximum of six drivers taking part & instruction will be on a 1:1 basis

Extra costs
High speed passenger rides are available on the day (subject to availability) and must be booked in advance direct with the centre

Availability
The experience is available on selected dates (Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusive) throughout the year

Spectators
Spectators are welcome to attend the day, they must be pre-booked direct with the Centre no less than 7 days prior to the event. There is a charge of £10 per spectator which includes lunch, refreshments and insurance.

The weather
Although this event is not weather dependant extreme conditions may result in cancellation due to dangerous driving conditions e.g. fog, flooding, high winds etc. If unsure contact the centre on the day

What to wear
You are advised to wear layered comfortable clothing, along with narrow, thin soled shoes for driving. If you are unsure please contact the centre direct.

Additional information
Alcohol is strictly forbidden - If the instructor smells drink your course will be cancelled on the spot. Motor sport can be dangerous. Although every effort is made to ensure your safety accidents can occur. All participants are therefore required to read, understand and sign a disclaimer before taking part in the experience.
