Activity Description - Forest Experience 1/2 Day 4x4 Course

Widely acknowledged as one of the world’s leading schools, this is the Ultimate 4x4 experience!

This half day course offers professional and practical tuition and vehicle familiarisation in a 900-acre forest complex.

The centre is run by expert instructors and has superb facilities and testing terrain to test your ability and to allow you to hone your skill

Itinerary
(sessions are either morning or afternoon)
09:00 or 13:15 Arrival at centre. Meet instructor for safety briefing
09:15 or 13:30 Depart for forest and commence familiarisation runs on forest tracks. Alongside your instructor you will then move onto the nursery sections. After that it’s progression to the more difficult terrain, which will include ascending and descending slopes and banks. The same course will also be driven in reverse direction.
12:45 or 16:30 Return to centre for certificate presentation

Important
All drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least 1 year and produce it on the day. Drivers should be able to drive a manual car.

Session length
The half day experience lasts from either 9:00 PROMPT to 12:45 or 13:15 PROMPT to 16:30. Your session will include an introduction & briefing, introduction to the controls, training and certificate presentation for all participants.

Spectators
For safety reasons you are limited to a maximum of 2 spectators at a cost of £10.00 per person (payable on day).We do not advise babies or small children to attend. There is nothing for non-participants to do other than watch. Please advise the centre direct no less than 5 days before regarding spectator numbers. No dogs are allowed.

Availability
The experience runs seven days a week year round. Numbers on the day There will be a ratio of approx 4 drivers to 1 instructor

The weather
Although this event is not weather dependant extreme conditions may result in cancellation due to dangerous driving conditions e.g. fog, flooding, high winds etc. If unsure contact the centre on the day what to wear Please bring good warm outdoor clothing, especially in winter as the forest is high (1500 ft) & exposed.

Additional Information
Alcohol is strictly forbidden - If the instructor smells drink your experience will be cancelled on the spot.Motor sport can be dangerous. Although we make every effort to ensure your safety, accidents can occur. Therefore we require the participants to read, understand and sign a disclaimer before taking part. Please ensure you arrive on time. Failure to do so could mean that you forfeit your course. The learning stages are 4 miles from the meet point and it is important to leave on time. "
